Re: totally off topic, but wholesome family fun. - Yesterday

Damn. We had b-b gun wars when l was a kid. And we'd use the old M60 firecrackers, rolled in glue and either b-b's or small pebbles, for grenades. Can't believe no one lost an eye.:)o

Just thinkin' here, but notice how they usually bust the door in and rush inside? Maybe some razor wire attached to door and frame, about crotch level. Not tight, fairly loose. Enough to tangle 'em up. Just hang it at night when it's lights out and take it off in the morning.

I ALWAYS make sure to bring bubble bath for my ARs! My ARs are real fastidious about cleanliness after a long hard days popping Goblins! At least you finally admit your little prima donna princesses don't like to get all icky!:D

I would agree with this except for the shotty exclusively for the uses he stated. I would stick with some sort of rifle for MOUT and ambush/counter ambush... If I"m going

Re: Combat Loadout - 3 days ago

An MBR, whatever your flavor (AR, AK, HK, FAL, SKS, or whatever) with 200+ rounds initial load with the same amount of ammo in your pack (preferably on strippers, with speed loaders). Sidearm- whatever you want. Remember, carryin' a sidearm means less ammo for your MBR. l prefer to have extra mags for my long gun. Body armor has it's time and place. lf speed is of the essence, cache it somew

Re: Combat Loadout - 3 days ago

Tracers sound good in theory, but like l said, you are letting the enemy know where you are and it won't take too long for the bad guys to figure out your system and exploit it. One sidearm is more than enough. Really, it is not needed at all, especially if you are with others. More ammo for your long arm is really more practical but we've been too indoctrinated by Holly Wood and the "tact

Yeah, l made the same statement in '04 when we were over there. People where sayin' no way, but when they thought about it, they realized that it was true.

Re: Combat Loadout - 3 days ago

2- 1911'S? Cache one. The cross-draw is the least practical. lf you had to drop your gear, the drop leg will still be atached to your belt. Would also consider getting another drop leg for 2 AR mags. Again, if you have to drop your shit, you'll have at least 2 other mags for your Sig. Cache the mags in your bag (minus the 2 for your drop leg) and replace with stripper clips and speed loaders

"Another DHS-sponsored study in 2011 found that criminal violence was associated with a significant percentage of hate groups. And a study last year by the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point found that right-wing violence between 2000 and 2011 surpassed that of the 1990s by a factor of four." The funny thing is that they DID NOT count the muzzy D.C. sniper or the Fort Hood shoot

The thing that really cracks me up is the feds use our money to buy the land, then tell us we can't be on it! Chuck you, Farley! Our money, our land! The gov has NO MONEY! It's our's that they've borrowed. As a matter of fact, WE pay the BLG's salaries, so tell 'em to get us a glass of water!:)o

What about gas mask, filters, NBC canteen adapters, Potassium lodide, and e-tool? 2 pam chloride and atropine would be good to have as well.

Re: Combat Loadout - 3 days ago

When l said 86 'em, l didn't mean throw them away. Seems that they would be good to cache at a BOL or alternate. Keep some of the useful but not totally neccessary stuff in your truck, that way it's handy. But if the truck's dead or impractical, cache the stuff somewhere that you can retrieve it at a more convenient time. Speakin' of, l may have missed it but l didn't see an e-tool on you

Almost forgot! SOCKS! Good ones, preferably wool, cushion soled. And foot powder. l recommend Gold Bond medicated. Good for crotch-rot, too. Under Armor shirts and drawers are a must as well. One thing you could use is a gas mask. Make sure you have one with a drinking tube. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/231194244440?lpid=82 Have at least 2 extra filters. You can also get an NBC connector for your Camel Back. http://shop.camelbak.com/type-m-hydrolink-gas-mask-adapter/d/1186 And some Potassium Iodide pills. https://www.google.com/search?q=potassium+iodide&oq=potassium+&am

Re: Combat Loadout - 3 days ago

l pray you don't have to hoof it! What's the total weight of all that? Ditch the back-up pistol/revolver. All those manuals? Pick ONE and 86 the rest. (l would go with the SAS guide.) Put ALL your gear on and go for a looong walk. You'll figure out what you need and don't need real fuckin' quick.
