Every other day when I try to post in a topic I am told that my "IP address, domain or ISP has been blocked" and to contact an admin. I am not sure what is going on, but it is a little hard to contact an admin when I cannot send a PM or make a post. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

I'll look into it this evening. Your IP must change to an IP that has been blocked (Blocked a few ranges of IP addresses due to troublemakers).

Sorry about that!

Update: Your having problems because your using a defense contractor for an ISP. Please try a residential ISP as that should resolve your problem. If you cannot, please let me know (you can send a PM).

The DoD provided internet is all I have... Camp Leatherneck is a USMC base, and thus VERY restrictive on their data networks.
If I get locked out again I will try sending a PM but it didn't work last time, all I could do was edit my signature, but I don't think anyone noticed my help message I put in there.

Cleaned out some offending IP addresses. Hopefully your problem is fixed.

This brings to to a question about our DoD ... How much more money are they spending on internet and networking services going threw a 3rd party network? I have to believe that we the DoD could build its own without the added expenses (and probably work better).

Thanks for the effort!

I have no idea, but its a TON!! every room has its own wireless router, that goes to an antenna in each room, that goes up to one of 3 antennas on the roof that goes to one central antenna in each "Block" that goes to the main hub, that goes to the satellite dishes. And there is well over 15k people on this place. And the sad part it, its soooooo damn slow its ridiculous, I have had faster dial-up at times! All streaming media is blocked, all file sharing, almost all download websites, almost all photo sharing websites. They are the internet Nazis! And we can buy internet service that is faster and unrestricted on the British side... but its over $200 a month and we are on the fringe of the wireless range they have, so its barely worth it anyway.

That frigging sucks. You might want to consider investing in a VPN. Then your source IP won't be one that gives you issues and the gov won't know what you're doing online.

Do right—and fear not.

Good idea... but not allowed on the servers, I would never be able to get a connection.

Its ok though... I have nothing to hide, I have been monitored for years now. I just keep a slightly lower profile until I can get home

VPNs aren't allowed? Lame. There's always Tor (The Onion Router). It's free, and it could be fun to see if it works or not.

I may be able to fix it from the back-end, never tried lol. PM me so I can make sure you'll be able to login afterwords.

ENblock -- Usernames aren't changeable from the control center.. only "real name". I'm assuming that its best to keep it that way.. considering the random riff-raft we get 'round here.

Just to chime in here... as a dod contractor, certain things are blocked. They don't like some blogs, they disallow stuff like ebay etc. They block a lot of things that aren't work related (obviously) but I find it completely insane that about 2-3 times a year the "Walk out" people who hit porn sites - if they BLOCK all that other stuff, why not block porn?

Anyway, just sayin'... the DOD and US government controls are IA controls and at every base and installation the rules are a little different for each group. NOthing is set in concrete, and the "group policies" change from day to day sometimes.

Tomorrow I might not be able to hit this site.

Today, however, I can.

Of course, I see things differently that most. WE are citizens, we pay our taxes, and we work and do our jobs. Being online and doing something "unrelated to work" is sometimes necessary and it is certainly something I'm sure I've paid for over and over and over again.

Molon Labe! (Come and take my internet!) lol
